Super Eagles top striker is set to miss next week’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya following a thigh injury that could lay him off for six weeks.
Osimhen picked up the injury in Galatasaray’s Turkey League match against Kasimpasa. He scored a brace in the 3-3 draw.
“It’s a discomfort even though Minor,” said Osimhen on social media page

Due to the injury, he missed Galatasaray’s clash with Latvian champions FK Rigas, which ended in a 2-2 draw at the Daugavas Stadium. And FK coach was grateful the striker was not avaialble.
“It would have been different if Osimhen had played. He would have added strength to Galatasaray.
Osimhen is a different player than Icardi. In my opinion, he could have passed our defense more easily.
” Osimhen is a strong and dangerous player. It would have been difficult for us if he had played today,” the 44-year-old said in quotes revealed by Haber Global.
