Super Eagles striker Chidera Ejuke said he is looking forward to Sunday’s La Liga clash between his club Sevilla and Barcelona at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
Ejuke has warmed his way into the heart of Sevilla fans with his impressive performances this season with his dribbles. He leads the La Liga dribble stats with 28 across eight games to place first ahead of Ballon d’Or 2024 nominees Lamine Yamal (27), Kylian Mbappé (23) and Vinícius Júnior (20).
“The game against Barcelona is going to be a tough one and we’re working hard as a team. We are looking forward to this game because these are the kind of games you always look forward to playing as a player,” Ejuke told SportyTV.
“As a team we are looking forward to it and we want to go there, do our best, and hopefully come back with the three points.
“It’s going to be a game whereas a team we have to come together and work hard because playing against Barcelona is not going to be easy, but obviously in situation where I can use my ability to make a difference, definitely I would take those opportunities.
“When you have this God-given talent, you can exploit it to make a difference but generally as a group we’d give our best and go for it on Sunday.”
