Victor Boniface shaken by his near-death experience in a car-crash last Saturday, may not travel with Bayer Leverkusen for Wednesday’s Champions League tie against Stade Brest 29.
Though he suffered minor cuts during the accident Boniface was excused from training Monday as the team prepare to play against the French side. Boniface scored the winning goal of their 2-1 win over visiting Eintracht Frankfurt, but later in the evening his car was involved in the accident, which will cost €200,000 (about ₦355 million).
If Boniface does not participate in their training session on Tuesday, then it would mean that he would miss the game against Brest.
However, the Nigeria international should be fit and ready to play when the reigning Bundesliga champions play Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion on Saturday.
