Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina though emerged first runner-up of the Miss Universe beauty pageant held in Mexico early Sunday morning, she was captivating in her graceful and intelligent presentations.
Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer was crowned most beautiful girl, but Adetshina left an impression on the watching audience.
At every stage of the competition she exhibited eloquence and carried on with a sense of pride not minding the hurtful experiences on her way to global recognition.
Her national costumes was strikingly admirable as she demonstrated aspects of Nigerian culture and pride and she deservingly took her place.
She is the second Nigerian to grab the headlines in the Miss Universe beauty pageant. In 2001 Agbani Darego won the crown becoming the first African woman to accomplish the feat.
