Ghanaians head to the polls in a few weeks to election a new President and the wife of incumbent Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia thinks her husband is the best man for the job.
Speaking on Ghana TV talkshow Thursday Mrs. Samira Bawumia said her husband is dedicated to repositioning Ghana and has the quality to be a good President.
“I know Dr Bawumia. He’s obviously my husband. He’s an incredible man, very gifted, a problem solver. He works very hard; he’s an honest man,” Mrs. Bawumia said
.”And I have no doubt that Dr Bawumia will be the President that Ghana needs.”
Her husband will be facing former President John Mahama of the National Democratic Party NDC and Ghanaians are looking forward to ending the eight-year rule of the New Patriotic Party under President Nana Akufo-Ado who has come under criticism over his handling of the country’s economy.
Mrs. Bawumia said on the backlashes: “I don’t think that any government can solve every problem that exists. But I know that our government has been an honest government, has thought about the people, has put in place policies that have benefited the people of this country.”
