Controversial musician Darlington Okoye a.k.a Speed Darlington was practically plucked off the stage while he was performing in Owerri, Imo State, by policemen allegedly at the orders of fellow musician Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy.
Speed Darlington’s lawyer Deji posted on X: “Our client Speed Darlington, a.k.a. AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.
“Burna Boy is behind the harassment of Speed Darlington by the police. This is someone who has been singing against oppression and forming junior Fela, now oppressing Akpi.”
This is the second time Burna Boy would be going after Speed Darlington who called him out for his alleged romance with disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Meanwhile Burna Boy was quoted by an online publication as saying: “If it means spending all my wealth, I will do so to ensure you never see sunlight again.
” Your mother shouldn’t bother begging me this time, because if she truly loved you, she would have advised you to stop running your mouth. Enjoy your new home.”
Speed Darlington recently released a single “Baby Oil” in which he dissed Burna Boy.
