Leicester City on Friday evening unveiled former Manchester United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy as their new coach.
The Dutchman on Saturday will have his first day in office when Leicester sitting a point above the relegation zone play Brentford. He signed a contract that keep him at the King Power Stadium till June 2027.
Speaking to the press after his unveiling, Van Nistelrooy said: “We will approach every game with one idea and that’s to win.”
He added that he would not depart from what former coach Enzo Maresca was doing before joining Chelsea in Summer.
“The way Leicester City played under Maresca, winning the Championship, going into the Premier League I also see that line continuing in those structures.
“I can plug into that because I relate to those structures and way of play, play forward and create chances of course is the main goal and translate it into points.
“Sometimes it will be against an opponent who is better but we have to find a way to win any game.”
