Atalanta are riding high at home and in Europe and as they face Real Madrid in Tuesday night’s Champions Leage tie in Bergamo striker Ademola Lookman said the defending champions would be meeting a spirited side.
Atalanta are top of the Serie A table thanks to Lookman’s headed goal last weekend. This is coming after their slow start to the season. In August they also lost to Real Madrid 2-0 in the Euro Super Cup.
Lookman said the team has become stronger and are ready to for a good run against Real Madrid who have lost three games and won two in the contest so far.
“We lost the last match we played against them in August, in the Super Cup, but since then we have grown together as a team,” Super Eagles player told Sky Sport Italia.
“Now we are a different group, one that has become stronger. We have shown that consistently, and tomorrow will be another opportunity to prove it, and I can’t wait.”
