Victor Boniface is expected to be in action in Tuesday night’s Champions League tie between his club Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid.
Boniface had been sidelined by injury since November and according to coach Xavia Alonso he back in form and would join the squad to the Spanish capital.
“We decided that Victor Boniface can join the UCL trip to Madrid with the team,” Alonso said.
“He is getting better and better each day, and he will definitely be included in the squad. This is incredibly positive news for all of us, and especially for him personally. Boni is feeling good, and it’s wonderful to have him back with us.”
Boniface’s contributions this season has been significant; he has tallied an impressive eight goals and one assist in just 15 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen across all competitions. His return comes at a crucial time for the team as they aim to secure a strong performance against a formidable opponent in Atletico Madrid.
