Al-Hilah are set to lure Mohammed Salah to the Saudi League with a tempting offer that will see him replace star striker Neymar who is returning to Brazil to re-join Santos, where he started his career.
Salah’s Liverpool deal will expire at the end season and so far, he is yet to agree on contract extension with Premier League title chasers, opting to wait till the end of the season to weigh his options.
Al-Hilal are keen to make Salah one of the highest paid footballers in the world surpasing the $148m per year salary paid Neymar.
According to TeamTalk signing Salah is the top priority of the Saudi Pro League’s chief negotiators, who want to make him a poster boy for the league and bring him alongside Cristiano Ronaldo to help bolster the division’s reputation on the world stage.
Salah’s performances have been key to Liverpool’s success under Arne Slot this season and the forward is the Premier League’s top scorer with 19 goals in 22 games so far,
However, Salah is currently on a big wage of around £350,000 per week and sources close to Liverpool have confirmed that the club have begun looking at players who could replace him if he leaves.
