In a bid to strengthen its long-standing partnership with the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), the management team of O’jez Group on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Managing Director of NRC, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, at the corporation’s headquarters in Ebute Metta, Lagos.
Speaking on behalf of Ojez Group, Effiong Nyong, a key member of the management team, emphasized the importance of maintaining a robust relationship between both institutions. He highlighted the significant role Ojez has played in fostering a mutually beneficial collaboration and expressed optimism about further deepening this relationship under the new leadership.
Renowned musician and Ojez team member, Sunny Neji, commended the Railway Corporation for its efforts in revitalizing Nigeria’s railway transportation system. Drawing from personal experience, he praised the improved comfort and efficiency of the railway network, particularly the Ibadan route, which he recently traveled on. According to Neji, the modernization efforts have enhanced passenger convenience and accessibility.
In response, Dr. Opeifa reaffirmed NRC’s commitment to fostering a stronger partnership with Ojez Group. He acknowledged the positive contributions of the company and expressed willingness to explore more collaborative initiatives in the near future. Opeifa assured the team that under his leadership, the corporation would build upon the existing relationship to enhance service delivery and mutual benefits.
Chairman of Ojez Group, Mr. Joseph Odobeatu, who oversees the hospitality and recreation facility within the NRC premises, welcomed Dr. Opeifa to his new role. He reiterated Ojez Group’s dedication to improving its services and further strengthening ties with the Railway Corporation. Odobeatu emphasized that the partnership between both institutions remains vital in advancing shared objectives in hospitality, transportation, and infrastructural development.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to a sustainable and productive partnership that will continue to drive growth and development in Nigeria’s railway and hospitality sectors.
