The police in Bauchi State said they are looking for some youths who lynched two men for allegedly stealing a dog.
One of the men identified as Peter was killed, while the other man Dokagk Danladi, 38, survived the ordeal with life threatening injuries in the incident, which occurred Wednesday April 9 in the Lushi area of Bauchi State.
Bauchi police spokesperson Ahmed Wakil said a group youths assaulted the two men after accusing them of stealing a dog.
“The investigation is currently underway. The command is diligently working to ensure a thorough examination of this incident, focusing on identifying all individuals involved in the mob assault,” Wakil said.
