The All-Progressives Congress director of administration national secretariat, Dr. Abdulraif Adekunle Adeniji, has been brutally murdered by gunmen who kidnapped him.
Dr. Adekunle Adeniji was kidnaped on January 26, 2025 by gunmen wielding AK-47 rifles in the Chikakore area of Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), but he was killed two weeks ago even as the kidnapers continued the negotiations for the N500m ransom they demanded but eventually got paid N90m. His wife who was also kidnapped along with him had earlier been killed by the gunmen, because she was hesitantly moving while they have been taken to unknown destination.
APC deputy director of administration Ubagha Abel, in a statement on Thursday, April 10, disclosed that the party secretariat will remain closed till Monday as a result of the unfortunate development
“The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National Secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday, April 14, 2025,” Abel said.
“The decision was made after he had received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration Late Hon. Abdulraif Adekunle Adeniji, PhD.
“You are advised to use the mourning period for sober reflection and prayers for the family and loved ones. May the soul of our beloved Director rest in peace Amen”
“All flags at the party Secretariat are to fly at half-mast throughout the period of mourning.”
