The Chioma Ajunwa Foundation has stepped up its campaign against drugs to reach more youths in Nigeria and beyond as preparations for the annual anti-drug abuse and trafficking seminar kicks into gear.
This year’s anti-drugs seminar is scheduled to take place on June 26, 2025, at the National Institute for Sports Gymnasium at the National Stadium Lagos with the theme “Golden Dreams without Drug Abuse or Trafficking.”
The Chioma Ajunwa Foundation president and former Olympics long champion Chioma Ajunwa Oparah noted that this would be the start of campaign to get more youths to understand that to achieve their God-given potentials they need not rely on drugs nor engage in drug trafficking to make it in life.
“The central theme for this 2025 seminar “Golden Dreams without Drug Abuse or Trafficking,” is meant not only to educate the youths on the dangers of drug abuse, but also to let them know that they can achieve their dreams without taking mind benders or engage in the illicit trafficking of drugs.
“Today more youths because of economic and social pressure are falling back on drugs to escape reality, illicit drugs is readily available on our streets and there is an alarming rate of youths indulged in drug abuse and trafficking,” Ajunwa Oparah.
She noted that at the seminar there would be young Nigerians who had made it in life without drugs will be on hand to counsel the youths and also inspire to aim for the best in their future endeavors.
