Victor Osimhen Wednesday night scored twice to hand his club Galatasaray the Turkish Cup after a 3-0 win over Trabzonspor.
Osimhen with his strikes brought his goal haul to 35 in all competitions and also, breaking the record of the highest-scoring foreign player in Turkey. Mario Jardel held the record from the 2000/01 season with 33 goals. Osimhen is now looking forward to rounding off his loan spell with Galatasaray with the league title and perhaps add some more goals to his kitty.
Galatasaray will complete a domestic double if they beat Kayserispor on Sunday, it would be their 25th league title and the fourth time they are winning a double.
With his electrifying form Osimhen has led their charge for the titles. He will return to Napoli at the end of the season to sort out his future, which from all indications may not be at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Naples.
Chelsea and Juventus are two clubs that have been linked with the player, others like Arsenal, Manchester United would have love to have him as well but they have cooled off their interest because of his high wage demand.
Boxed into a corner due their lack of fire power, Chelsea are looking for a way round to sign the striker even as Napoli are not keen to deal with rivals Juventus.
