Two person who went to deliver the ransom payment for the kidnapped All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Ose council area of Ondo State, Nelson Adepoyigi, have been seized by the gunmen.
The gunmen are now demanding for the payment of a fresh N30m before the Mr. Adepoyigi, and the other two men could be set free. According to reports by Vanguard the two men had taken N5m and some food items to the kidnappers. Perhaps unsatisfied with the items and the money they agreed, the gunmen pounced on the two men.
According to chairman of the Ose local government, Hon. Kolapo Ojo, the kidnappers had agreed on the N5m against the N100m they demanded.
“Those who took the ransom to them, as agreed during negotiations, were held by the same kidnappers.
” They have now turned around to demand a fresh N30 million before they can release all three of them,” said the APC member.
He added that the twist in the kidnap drama was concerning,but assured that everything would be done to get the abducted men to safety.
