Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn in group F of the FIFA U-20 World Cup billed for September 27-October 19, 2025, in Chile.
The Flying Eagles will trade tackles with Colombia, Norway and Saudi Arabia, in a group they are expected to progress. Nigeria have made 14 appearances in the FIFA U-20 World Cup and reached two finals.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s Amajita will face European powerhouse France, USA and New Caledonia in what promises to be one of the tournament’s most intriguing groups. Morocco have a mountain to climb as they face Brazil, Mexico, and Spain.
Egypt will compete in Group A alongside tournament hosts Chile, Japan and New Zealand.
The 24-team tournament will run across four host cities — Santiago, Rancagua, Talca and Valparaiso.
The top two teams from each group and four best third-placed sides will advance to the knockout stage.
Group A: Chile, Egypt, Japan, New Zealand
Group B: Korea Republic, Panama, Paraguay, Ukraine
Group C: Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, Spain
Group D: Argentina, Australia, Cuba, Italy
Group E: France, New Caledonia, South Africa, USA
