Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo said Victor Osimhen will do well for himself he takes the $46m a year offer Saudi side Al Hilal have put on the table for him.
Ighalo who played for Al Hilal said Osimhen has to take a decision where he wants to play next season having worked hard to establish himself as one of the world’s most sought-after strikers.
“I think he has done well. Whatever decision he makes now, it is a win for him. If he asks me, of course, I will say go to Al Hilal. Whatever decision it is a win for him,” Ighalo told News Central TV
Osimhen reportedly turned down a $36m dollar offer from the Al Hilal before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup ongoing in the USA, but they returned with a much bigger salary package of $46m. Osimhen is eager to play in Europe and the Champions League with Clubs like Juventus and Liverpool looking at signing him, so far, he is holding his cards close to his chest.
“He knows what he wants. He is a grown-up guy now and has worked hard to be where he is now.
“If he goes to Saudi Arabia now or after two years, it is still the same. It doesn’t matter because last year they came, and he didn’t go. They came back this year, and they will still come again.”
