Former Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey has denied allegations of rape and sexual assault hauled at him as the London Metropolitan Police continue investigations into the offences which occurred between 2021-2022.
According the police Partey is facing three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving four different women.
The police began investigating the case in 2022 and have called on woman who might have crossed paths with Partey to come forward.
But Partey who spent five seasons with Arsenal denied all the allegations, according to his lawyer, he has been cooperating with police in all their investigations.
“Thomas Partey denies all the charges against him.
“He has fully cooperated with the police and CPS throughout their three-year investigation.
“He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name.
“Given that there are now ongoing legal proceedings, my client is unable to comment further,” said Jenny Wiltshire who is Partey’s lawyer in a statement.
The Ghanaian international will appear
before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 5 August and according to him it would be an “opportunity to finally clear his name.”
Partey parted ways with Arsenal at the end of the 2025 season. He made Overall, he made 130 Premier League appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side, scoring nine goals.
