Victor Osimhen looks set to heading back to Turkey as Galatasaray Friday convinced Napoli they have the bank guarantees to cover the €75m release clause on the player.
But the Italian Serie A champions according to reports are waiting to see the papers and have their lawyers go through and once they are satisfied, Osimhen to fly to Instanbul and prepare for the 2026 season with Galatasary.
The deal was heading for the rocks on Thursday as Galatasaray directors were on able to back up their promise to pay the €75m in five installments, however, Galatasaray officials waited behind to continue talks and it seems they have their striker.
Osimhen turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi’s Al Hilal hoping to get a deal from top clubs in Europe, but the offers from Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool were not forth coming.
Meanwhile Galatasaray are reported to be interested in signing Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye.
Maduka is currently facing scrutiny, as he is being accused of alleged betting fraud in a Serie A fixture against Lazio on March 11, 2024.
Okoye, who left Watford for Udinese in the summer of 2023, has become a standout performer for the Italian side since arriving the club.
The Nigeria International kept ten clean sheets in 48 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side last season.
Galatasaray sees the Nigerian as a long-term successor to Fernando Muslera.
Italian outlet Calcio reports that Udinese have slapped a €15 million on their goalkeeper.
