A three-day old baby and several other residents of the Zagami community in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, have been killed by bandits.
The bandits in a night raid Wednesday attacked the community killing and abducting women and children including the mother of the three-day old baby.
According to a post on Thursday by security analyst Bakatsine on X, the exact number of casualties and abductees remains unclear, residents described the incident as one of the most horrifying in recent weeks.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but locals are calling for urgent intervention from security agencies to prevent further attacks in the area.
