President Bola Tinubu Monday announced cash rewards of $100,000, to each Super Falcons player, they are also to national awards and housing in Abuja.
The national women’s team pulled the rabbit from the hat in the final of Women African Cup of Nations coming from two goals down to beat the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco 3-2 Saturday at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Elated by the feat Tinubu said each player will get $100,000 each, a three-bedroom apartment at the Renewed Hope Housing Estate in Abuja and also the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) national award will be bestowed on them. The 11 team officials are to receive $50,000 each.
Later Monday, the team was hosted to a grand reception at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
