Afrobeats star David Adeleke said his father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke is one of the richest men in African, but doesn’t go around flaunting his massive wealth.
Though Dr. Adeleke is not in the top ten African richest men list, Davido claimed that his dad is worth $7.9 billion placing him in the fifth spot occupied by Eswatini’s Nathan Kirsh with $7.7b in the June 2025 Forbes list, which is topped by Aliko Dangote with $23b.
“Right now, my father is worth more than $7.9 billion, but you will never see him trying to seek attention from people because he has that much money,” Davido said.
“Truth be told, my dad might be richer than most top billionaires in Africa, but he chooses silence. That’s a real African man — he doesn’t want to make others feel less of themselves.”
Dr Mike Adenuga (sixth) with $6.2b and Abdulsamad Rabiu (eight) with $4.9 are the other Nigerians on the African top ten.
