The police in Lagos said they would investigate whether TikToker Habeeb Hamzat a.k.a Peller was kidnapped, or it was just another prank.
Peller was reportedly kidnapped while on his way home on Wednesday evening, the 20-year-older comedian later claimed that he was abducted by gunmen, though he initially mistook them for security officials.
“The viral story of TikTok influencer Peller being kidnapped is not true.
“We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that the person in question, Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is at home safe and sound.
“His vehicle is also intact, all his phones and properties, nothing was missing. But we are investigating to check the veracity of that claim, and the outcome of that investigation will determine our next line of action.
“That is what we are investigating. All of his properties were intact, and he, too, was intact; there was no violence whatsoever,” Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin told Channels TV.
