Super Eagles strikers Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers have arrived in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State where the Super Eagles will tackle Rwanda in Saturday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The team is expected to fly out on Sunday to face South Africa for the other group C encounter they must win to stand the chance of an automatic qualification. The arrival of the strikers boosts the number of players already in camp to 19, others are expected to reach Uyo later Wednesday where the team will continue their training.
Meanwhile team captain William Troost-Ekong said their focus is on how to secure all six points available.
“We’re here and very focused as we look forward to the game on Saturday,” Troost-Ekong said.
“We know the gravity of this game and yeah, we’re going to be focused on preparation because I think that’s the thing that’s going to give us confidence for the game on Saturday.”
