Nigeria’s Super Eagles and their Venezuela counterparts will trade tackles in Houston, USA in November.
Houston, is one of the venues that will host games of the 2026 World Cup matches, which the Super Eagles are in danger of missing out if they fail to get a play-off slot and qualify. Venezuel have already been dismissed after they were dumped out in the South America qualifiers.
A win would have seen Venezuela advance. The team also would have made the playoff with a Bolivia loss. However, Colombia beat Venezuela and Bolivia upset Brazil, dashing the dreams of the Venezuelan team and fans.
The match would be a good warm-up for the Super Eagles in their build up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which starts in December and runs into January.
