Arsenal clear Forest…Postecoglou admits it a disappointing start for him

Nottingham Forest new manager Ange Postecoglou said he was pained by the 3-0 defeat handed to his team by Arsenal in Saturday’s Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium.
Martin Zubimendi scored a brace, and Viktor Gyokeres added the third to give Arsenal a comfortable win, but it was a rude awakening for the Postecoglou who took over from Nuno Espirito Santo as coach this week.
“Obviously, it’s disappointing for us,” Postecoglou told TNT Sports after the game.
“They (Arsenal) are a good side. It’s tough opposition and I can’t fault the lads, I thought they tried really hard. We really couldn’t get to grips of the game and the second goal straight after the break really unsettled us. It’s a disappointing outcome but I can’t fault the efforts of the lads.”
He said Forest players are yet to come to terms with the change at the club and they would have to improve before their next game.
“This week was really disrupting for the players, and it was an international break as well. I’m trying to introduce new things as the new manager and they haven’t got clarity at the moment, but that’s something we will get into over the next few weeks. They are a really good bunch of players.”
