The police in Scotland have arrested Kofi Offeh, the self-proclaimed King Atehene of the Kingdom of Kubala and his two companions.
Mr. Offeh , 36, his wife Jean Gasho, 43, a.k.a Queen Nandi and his mistress Kaura Taylor, 21, also known as Asnat were evicted from the forest they have been living in the Jedburgh area of Scotland since May 2024.
Offeh a former businessman turned hermit, and his companions argued the land is rightfully theirs and that they are simply reclaiming what was taken from their ancestors 400 years ago.
According to Jedburgh councilor Scott Hamilton the police, sheriff officers and other agencies went to the camp on Thursday morning and evicted the trio. It is understood the pair have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.
Mr Hamilton, deputy leader of Scottish Borders Council, said there was a “heavy police presence”.
“The site is currently being cleared by the council.
“There are still a few things at play with regard to the situation, but I think this morning has been a good result for the community and for them as well in terms of the outcome.”
