Outraged by a viral video of a teacher having sex with a student in his office the Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended the teacher Mr. Mfo Richard Tibetor, of Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Oti Region of Ghana.
Mr Tibetor was seen in a video recorded by some peeping students through an opening in his offices, he was distracted by their noises and promptly dismounted, asking “who is there?”
The GES said in a statement signed by its head of public relations Thursday October 2 that the act is disturbing, “unacceptable, unethical, and a clear violation of the professional code of conduct for teachers.
“GES assured parents, guardians, and the general public that the safety and protection of students remain its topmost priority, stressing that any teacher found culpable of misconduct that compromises the dignity and well-being of students “will face the full rigours of the law in accordance with the GES Code of Conduct.”
