Former Senator Elisha Abbo who is facing allegations of raping a 13-year-old schoolgirl has surrender himself for questioning at Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja.
The incident allegedly occurred on June 29, 2025, at Senator Abbo’s residence in Katampe, Abuja.
According to SaharaReporters parents of the minor raised the alarm and Senator Abbo and governorship candidate in Adamawa, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed “Binani,” visited their home to plead with them not to reveal the scandal.
They further alleged that following the incident, Abbo kept sending money to the girl’s father in a bid to silence the matter, but they reported to the police all the same.
Senator Abbo is a notorious sex offender who was arrested in 2019 for allegedly assaulting a vendor at a sex shop in Abuja. He was arraigned on two counts charge of criminal assault but was granted a N5m bail by a Zuba Magistrate Court. Recently a married woman accused him of blackmail with a sex tape.
