Palestinian children in Gaza for a long while gathered in the streets and outside shelters as reports emerged of a possible ceasefire agreement.

In Israel relatives of Hamas held hostages expressed delight at the prospect of seeing their people again as the hostages are to be released on October 13. In Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square, families of captives chanted “Nobel prize to Trump” while celebrating the announcement.
US President Donald Trump Thursday announced a ceasefire and a 20-point plan, which includes the release of all Israeli captives in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a ceasefire, the disarmament of Hamas, and the rebuilding of Gaza.
Hamas confirmed that the agreement includes troop withdrawal, prisoner exchanges, and the entry of aid. But the Israeli military warned civilians not to return to northern Gaza, calling it “a dangerous combat zone.”
Hamas expressed appreciation for the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkiye, as well as President Trump’s efforts seeking to end the war permanently and for the withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip.
The movement called on President Trump and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to oblige the occupation government to implement the full requirements of the agreement and not allow it to evade or delay in implementing what was agreed upon. With agency reports
