Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr said it would be difficult against the Super Eagles in Uyo following the suspensions Yohan Roche and Sessi D’Almeida for Tuesday World Cup qualifier clash.
Roche and D’Almeida were booked in the Cheetahs 1-0 win over Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday night. D’Almeida was booked for a rash challenge six minutes from time and Roche went into the referee’s book for time wasting deep into stoppage time.
“We have lost two players (for the match against Nigeria) as a result of a second yellow card. But all is possible for the three teams (South Africa, Benin and Nigeria),” Rohr said.
Nigeria will also be without Ademola Lookman in the game due to suspension.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday 10 encounter will hold at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo next week Tuesday.
