“We thought it was a Halloween prank”…police arrest 2 men for London train stabbing

Commuters on a London train thought a terror attack was a Halloween prank unfolding, until blood spilled everywhere leaving nine people critically wounded.
Police were alerted to an emergency on board a train between Doncaster, a town in northeast England and London’s King’s Cross Station — a typically busy route — at around 7:40 pm on Saturday night.
Witness Olly Foster told the BBC that he heard people shouting “run, run, there’s a guy literally stabbing everyone,” and initially thought it was a Halloween-related prank.
But passengers then started pushing through the carriage, Foster said, adding that his hand was left “covered in blood” that had spilled onto the chair he had been leaning on.
The train was stopped at Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire, where armed officers boarded the train as police cars, a fleet of ambulances and two air ambulances swarmed the station in the market town in eastern England.
UK police on Sunday said that two British nationals have been detained on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident. British Transport Police (BTP) Superintendent John Loveless told reporters the attack was not being treated as a “terrorist incident” at this stage.
The arrested men were identified as a 32-year-old Black British national and a 35-year-old British national of Caribbean descent. The BTP official confirmed that investigators have “nothing to suggest that this is a terrorist incident” following the arrests.
The police and the government have urged the public not to speculate about who was behind the attack and why.
