Gunmen have tracked down and killed a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the Oke-Ijetu area of Osogbo, Osun State.
The man popularly known as ‘Spanner’ was shot dead along side his seven-year-old daughter Fatia. He was killed a few hours after his wife was delivered of a baby Friday morning.
Spanner was said to be a close ally of Kazeem Oyewale who is the NURTW Osogbo branch chairman.
According to reports Spanner was shot close to his wife’s place of business near Ilesa Garage. The Gunmen fired several shots at him and in the process a bullet struck his daughter.
