Paris St Germain are keen to sign top striker Victor Osimhen next summer as they seek an attacking option for Ousmane Dembele they have solely relied on.
According to reports by Fichajes, the Champions League defending champions are hoping to reunite Osimhen with his former Napoli strike partner Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. PSG coach, Luis Enrique is eager to have a goal-scoring striker with instinct and character as he competes with top European sides.
Galatasaray in the summer transfer window coughed out €75million to complete a permanent deal for Osimhen who helped them to a domestic double last season. So far this season, he has continued to prove Galatasaray made the right choice. Osimhen has scored nine goals in 11 matches including six in the Champions League.
Reports in Turkey suggested that Galatasaray may be open to listening to offers for the player and would consider negotiating if a bid close to €150 million is made.
Meanwhile Osimhen said he wants to help Galatasaray go far in the Champions League after scoring a hat-trick against Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday.
“We have a goal. We know what we want, and we know the magnitude of performance you need in the Champions League,” Osimhen told Galatasaray TV.
“We want to match up with the elite. It won’t be easy, but we’ll go step by step. We have the individual quality to do damage to every team.”
Osimhen now has six goals this season in Europe’s elite club competition. That’s one more than Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland.
