Nigeria’s Super Eagles players are expected to arrive in Morocco on Monday to prepare for their much anticipated World Cup qualification playoffs.
The Super Eagles will start their campaign Thursday against Gabon, while Cameron take on Congo DR. Winner of the four nations contest will join other Continental reps in another playoffs in March 2026.
Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi said ahead of the clash with Gabon that the Super Eagles ranked above Gabon, Cameroon and Congo DR are full of hope and believe they will emerge from Morocco victorious.
“The strength of the team lies in our pace and power in transition, creativity in wide areas, and a solid spine,” Ndidi told journalists.
“We also have depth — players who can come in and change the game. When we’re connected and intense, we’re dangerous.”
“With unity and discipline, we believe we can do it,” he said. “We respect every opponent. Play-offs come down to fine margins, not reputation. Our focus is on preparation — sharp training, good recovery, and executing the game plan. If we do that, our quality will shine through.”
