Osun State governor Ademola Adeleke will make known the party he would be pitching his tent with on December 13, 2025.
Mr. Adeleke resigned from the crisis hit Peoples Democratic Party since November 4, 2025 according to a letter he submitted to the PDP in Sagba Abogunde, Ward 2, Ede North Local Government. But this recently came to the the public knowledge.
Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi disclosed during an intervew Rave FM in Osogbo on Tuesda that governor Adeleke has indeed moved on from the PDP.
“The governor of Osun State and the Asiwaju of Ede has formally resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party,” Alimi said.
“The governor has done this and has written his resignation letter for quite a long time.”
“The governor is happy with the reaction so far, and everybody understands that had it not been the crisis or division at the national level, the governor wouldn’t have defected.
“On or before December 12 or 13, everybody would have known, which party he would pitch his tent” he said, adding that the resignation would have been unnecessary “had it been that the PDP is not fractionalised at the national level.”
Meanwhile Afrobeats star David Adeleke a.k.a Davido seem to have given his support to his uncle’s decision. He indicated his approval on his Instagram social media platform by typing “Jeje,” which means slow and steady.
