Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has unveiled a provisional 55-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Regulars, William Troost- Ekong, Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye; defenders Zaidu Sanusi, Calvin Bassey, and Semi Ajayi; midfielders Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika; and forwards Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, and Chidera Ejuke are included. While long absentees Paul Onuachu and Kelechi Iheanacho are making a comeback
Also, from the Nigeria Premier Football League players like Abdulrasheed Shehu, Ebenezer Harcourt, Ekeson Okorie, Chisom Orji and Adekunle Adeleke made the list and are expected to fight for a place in the final 28 players that will make the squad to the AFCON in Morocco starting December 21.
Nigeria is in Group C, alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda. The Super Eagles will open camp on December 10 in Egypt where they will play a couple of friendly matches.
