Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Oliseh said Mozambique have the capacity to upset the Super Eagles in their round of 16 Africa Cup of Nations tie.
The Nigerian team chasing their fourth title in Morocco won all their group C games, but Oliseh warns that the Black Mambas could be a slippery and risky assignments.
“I’m not going to go into details but one thing I will tell you is this, anybody that underrates Mozambique should be ready to pick up the flight ticket back home,” Oliseh said.
“This is a very good team and winning this team should further boost our self-belief. Tactically, what is going to come at Super Eagles is not going to be easy,” he added.
Meanwhile midfielder Alex Iwobi
has assured that Super Eagles will overcome the Black Mambas.
“Of course, we have got three wins out of three games. We cannot get complacent, but I am enjoying my time here,” Iwobi told Ademola Victor TV.
“The same thing we got in the group stage. We are going to give a hundred percent and try to do our nation proud.”
The Super Eagles will lock horns with Mozambique’s Mambas at the Complexe Sportif de Fès on Monday, January 5.
