Amorim... booted out from United bench.

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has given a hint that he could quit before his contract expires after draw 1-1 with Leeds United on Sunday.
The Portuguese-born coach said he wasn’t properly addressed at the club he joined in November 2024, saying he preferred to be addressed as manager at Man. United instead of head coach as he is being referred. Amorim’s current contract will expire in June 2026 with United having the option to extend.
Amorim said: “I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not to be the head coach.
“I know my name is not [Antonio] Conte, [Thomas] Tuchel, or [Jose] Mourinho but I’m the manager of Manchester United.
“It’s going to be like this for 18 months or until the board decide to change. I’m not going to quit.
“I’ll do my job until another guy is coming here to replace me.”
Amorim is also frustrated United may not bring reinforcements in the January window.
“The transfer window is not going to change,” he recently said.
“We have no conversation to have any change in the squad, there is a process, there is an idea.”
