With the Valentine Day countdown a few days to the hour, the Nigeria Railway Corporation is all set to give Nigerians a romantic experience on its “Love Train Ride.”
On Saturday February 14 the event tagged “Railway Fest Naija Love Train” will unfold with lots of entertainment lined up for guests on the train ride from Lagos to Ibadan and then back. While on board guest would be treated to live music, drama, fashion show by classy models and dining.
Some of the guest performers include soul and jazz singer Yinka Davis, highlife and hiplife maestro Sunny Nneji, Nollywood greats Segun Arinze and Charles Inojie who will be on hand to added colour to the unfolding drama on board.
“For those of you who can remember “Love Boat” a soap opera back in the days on TV, the “Railway Fest Naija Love Train” is a bold attempt at creating that kind of romantic atmosphere,” said Odika Franklyn Nicholas who is Nigeria Youth World Council president one of the organising partners of the show.
“Everything is on course and we are looking forward to an event which will be a lifetime experience. This train experience offers couples and guests intimacy, elegance and curated memories.”
Also speaking, Agu Peterson a representative of the O’jez Entertainment Group an organising partner, said: “It is one loaded package of Valentine Day entertainment, and I urge couples who want the best out of the day to get on board.
“We have great names like Yinka Davis, Sunny Nneji who are ready to light up the day. And also from Nollywood, Segun Arinze and Charles Inojie will be around to add more glamour.
“Preparations are going on well…we are looking forward to a great atmosphere of love, and we hope for a good sunny and cool weather…a perfect day to talk about love.”
On return from Ibadan guests would be treated to another round of entertainment at the Mobola Johnson Train Station Ebute Meta take off point.
