Ghana’s team B are in Austria for a one week camp ahead of the African Nations Championship qualifiers first leg against the Super Eagles team B August 28, in Cape Coast.

While in Austria, the team will play against World Cup hosts Qatar on Tuesday and coach Annor Walker is hopeful that match would put his wards in shape for the match against the Super Eagles. Ghana beat Benin Republic 4-0 on aggregate to enter the second round qualifier.

“We happy and calm here in Austria. It is a good thing for us to camp ahead of the important match.

“Our game against Qatar on Tuesday will be a test for the team. The boys will learn a lot and it would put us in a good position for the task ahead.”

Meanwhile the CHAN Eagles are training in Abuja hoping for the best. Coach Salisu Yusuf said last week that the team is coping and not under any pressure most especially as fans are seeking revenge for the loss the Super Eagles suffered in their World Cup qualification against the Black Stars of Ghana and then missed the Qatar 2022 World Cup train.

The second leg of the CHAN qualifier would be played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on September 2.

“The most important thing is for us to qualify and to qualify we have to beat Ghana and it’s our wish and prayer that will happen,” Salisu said
