Muller and Lewandowski..Bayern Buddies now standing at opposite sides.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski returns to Bayern Munich Tuesday night with Barcelona and his former teammate and strike partner  Thomas Muller has been asked to get a clear head.

Former Liverpool top striker Sadio Mane, warned Muller who had been accustomed to setting up passes for Lewandowski to score while he was at Bayern not make any mistake and pass to Lewandowski who left Bayern to join Barca in the summer window.

Bayern will be aiming to beat Barcelona at the Allianz Arena to consolidate on their 2-0 win over Inter in their first game, while Barcelona are also hoping to build on their 5-1 thrashing of Viktoria Plzen 5-1.

It will be a strange fixture for Muller in light of the potent, often-telepathic relationship that he struck up with Lewandowski. In eight years as teammates, the pair won eight Bundesliga crowns, three German cups and the Champions League.

The German international said: “Sadio has been joking, telling me not to make a mistake and pass the ball to Lewandowski during the game. We have to play our game and not focus too much on Lewy.”
