Super Eagles captain William has left Algeria and he is back in London to undergo scans for an injury he picked up during Friday’s test game against the Algerian B side.
Ahead of Tuesday’s match between the Desert Warriors and the Super Eagles, Troosts Ekong wished his team mates goodluck, hoping that they would get a good result in his absence.
“William Troost-Ekong has left camp as a result of an injury cropped during the test game yesterday. He is back to base for further checks. Wishing you a speedy recovery Ekong,” the NFF said in a tweet.
Coach Jose Poseiro would now fall back on veteran Keneth Omeruo and Kevin Akpoguma to fill in the gap in the game against the Desert Foxes in Oran. The game against the B side ended 2-2.
