After watching Bob Marley’s “Stand Up get Stand Up,” musical, Nigeria’s super star Wizkid declared that he would love to be remembered like the reggae icon who lives on 43 years after his death.
Wizkid who recently came out with his fourth album “More love, less ego,” is marveled that Bob died at the young age of 36, yet he achieved everything a man can achieve in life.
‘I recently went to see the Bob Marley musical, ‘Get Up, Stand Up!’ I was like, ‘Yo, we’re watching a Bob Marley play and this guy died decades ago.’
“I didn’t even know that he died at 36. He did so much at a young age. It just reaffirms what I do; I have to keep taking this to the highest heights. Because I know one day they’re definitely going to create a play about me,” Wizkid said in a recent interview.
He added that he is trying hard not to let his global success enter his head. “Alongside managing my ego, one other aim for this new chapter is to live forever. “Not physically, but for whatever I create to live forever.
