One of the female students of the Federal Government College Birnn Yauri held hostage by bandits has been delivered of a baby.
The terrorists at the weekend performed a naming ceremony for the baby.
According to PRNigeria reports the 16-year-old girl is among the students kidnapped by the bandits on June 17, 2021 when they invaded the boarding school and took 100 students, eight teachers and killed a policeman in the raid. It was gathered that four other girls are pregnant and are expecting babies, while two girls had previously given birth.
“There are about four other female students who are pregnant at the moment. One of them is due to give birth any moment from now,” said a source.
One of the parents appealed to the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd) and Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Leo Irabor, to ensure their children’s release.
“In the name of God Almighty, we call for that special committee constituted to take charge as the government did with Kaduna train passengers.”
