Okotie...

Pastor Chris Okotie is not running for president in the 2023 general elections, but he is canvassing for the establishment of an interim government.

The former Afro-pop star turned a preacher argued in a statement that an interim government after the tenure of Muhamadu Buhari expires will usher in more stability in the country.

“A regime change in 2023 will lead the country back to the status quo without restructuring.

“I am offering Aboriginal Democracy as a viable alternative to the present system. It is the only mechanical instrumentality available for the crystalisation of the Nigerian dream.

“The Aboriginal Democracy will eliminate the legislature and end the perpetual conflict between the centrifugal and centripetal forces, which has created the regional xenophobia engendered by the political class,” Okotie said in the statement.

Okotie who vied for the president twice under his Fresh Party submitted that patriotic Nigerians and stakeholders can make the interim government work

“The constitution is made for the people, and not the people for the constitution,” he added.
