A 52-year-old man Patrick Amajuoye, Bright Umeh 45, and Jerry Ikechukwu, 28, have been remanded at the Kirikiri Corectional Centre by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for drugging and raping from a lady they lured from Facebook
The suspects who also stole the lady’s phone were arraigned on charges of conspiracy, rape, stealing, unlawful possession of stolen items, causing the breach of peace and receiving stolen items.
According to the police prosecution counsel, Olusegun Oke the suspects committed the crime on July 12 at 35, Fadunsi St., Oke-Ira, Ogba, Lagos. He said the victim visited one of the accused Ikechukwu, whom she contacted on Facebook. And while in Ikechukwu’s house, he offered her juice and she slept off instantly. In the process she was raped and her phone valued at N150, 000 was stolen.
The suspects did not take their plea before the Magistrate M. C. Ayinde, sent them back to Kirikiri CC until September 26, 2022 when the case comes up for hearing.
