The Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has met with former President Goodluck Jonathan as the kick-off to the presidential election campaign approaches.
Obi revealed in the a tweet Thursday, that he and Jonathan discussed national issues and they had a positive view of things to come for the country
“I recently visited my senior brother, H.E. @GEJonathan to exchange views on an array of serious national interest questions. -PO,” Obi captioned the pictures.
The former President in a recent speech called on elderly politicians to retire from the scene and allow young and dynamic Nigerians to mount the saddle, if the country was to move forward.
Meanwhile campaigns for the presidential and national assembly start on September 28, 2022 and those of the governorship and state house of assembly will begin October 12, 2022. Campaigns will end February 23, 2023 and March 9 respectively according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) calendar of events ahead of the elections.
