Ahead of the draw for the 2023 FIFA Women World Cup, Nigeria’s Super Falcons should prepare their minds for a tough ride after they were placed in Pot 4 for the weakest qualifiers. The draw is billed for October 22.
The super falcons could be pitted against heavyweights like the reigning world champions, United States of America, Brazil, Canada, Netherlands, Japan, England or France.
Other Africa’s representatives, South Africa, Morocco and Senegal are also placed in Pot 4.
The Super Falcons made it to the knockout stage of the women’s world cup twice in 1999 and at the last edition hosted by France three years ago.
The Falcons surrendered their African title this summer to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa
They have lost their last five games including friendlies against USA and Japan.
The tournament will take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20 2023.
